- Appearance -
Velia is a cat-folk Faunri with huge cat ears sitting atop her head. Her eyes are bright orange with black hair that fans out in all directions just above her collarbone. The girl's body is rather thin and is lacking in what most would consider feminine features as she appears lankier than most, but only stands to 168cm/5'6" tall. Even with these features, she almost always looks like she might burst with energy at any moment. What is most strange about the girl, is how she often hides her Faunri appearance; something not many Gaians tend to do. This can be easily seen by her normal outfit, as the girl always tends to wear the same style of outfit when out and about. Even though she hides her heritage, the girl is exceptionally expressive; meaning that her tail wiggles free sometimes and her ears often flick, causing whatever headpiece she is wearing at the time to twitch and move, oftentimes betraying her.

Her normal outfit, the one she wears in public, involves a large red casket hat that sits on her head as her ears fold forward, tucking perfectly into the hat. When wearing this, she has her personal wear below a large red trench coat with a dull yellow scarf resting around her shoulders. On her hands are a pair of brown gloves which she rarely takes off unless eating.

Her personal outfit is actually rather simple, and most of her other clothing often sits above it. Due to her being born to a few priests, she wears a light orange and pink robe that buttons over the upper left chest. Its orange color takes over most of the robe, but the area that sits on the front of the wearer is the only place that is completely pink. The sleeves on the robe are short and split into three sections which prevent them from moving with the arm but do not hinder natural movement. This outfit is also the one she dons when doing housekeeping jobs for others.

While adventuring she continues to wear her red hat, but instead wears her armor over whatever outfit she had on last; this often means she might end up layering armor on top of her red coat but it doesn't seem to bother her all that much.

- Personality -
Velia is a complete extrovert. She is always seeking to be around as many people as possible to socialize as much as possible. Being a Gaian, one might think her wary of the Adventurers but instead, she was always one of the first people to approach them and talk to the new strange people. Always smiling and happy, her goofy demeanor tends to get her in more trouble than she ever anticipated. She always judges people based on their actions after they have met, but even rumors can often sway her bias a little bit before she meets them; this means that everyone can expect a warm greeting even if they are rumored to be the scum of the earth. Velia is oddly trusting of adventurers over-all, and less so of other Gaians. The more she knows about someone, the less she seems to trust them although this is a common misconception; the more she sees of someone and the less they seem to actively do things, the less she will think of them.

Her favorite thing over-all is an adventure. She loves the thrill of just seeing new places, no matter how dangerous it may be. Velia is willing to lie and cheat just so she can get a little bit more of that thrill; this also means that she often gambles and takes many risks throughout her day to day but is still wise enough to not bet precious things like her life. Others lives? Nah, they'll be fine. Despite being an extrovert, she often has a harder time in massive groups; tending to stay within the bounds of 4 to 5 people rather than announcing her presence to the masses. When meeting new people she is often hesitant to put her life on the lines unless she knows it is putting their life on the lines as well; meaning she will oftentimes never leave Romalia alone and sticks with others like glue, whether or not they have ever met before is out of the question. Her core values still fall the same as most people; she values lovers over family, and family over friends but above all, she always values current members of her party over all others, well, that is except for one person. That person is always her target for housekeeping and can change at a whim.

As for her strengths, Velia is extremely brave, curious, and kind but she often suffers from urges to be childish in most situations. Other issues plague her personality as well, mostly with the fact that she can be exceptionally dishonest or fickle with even close friends. Her personal goal in life is to explore as much of the world as she can, but her biggest fear is dying before she had a chance to do so. Her fear of this is so great that she has a tendency to panic when her health bar takes even a slight hit.
- Biography -
Nona Feles was born to an unknown mother and father; she only knew them for a year or so but was orphaned afterward. Nobody ever knew what happened to her parents, but the common consensus is that her parents traveled far away; far enough that they were unable to bring young Nona with. Even so, her early life was rather simple. The girl was always adventurous, and would always climb trees, fall out of them, and then climb the tree again only to fall once more. Nona was always restless. Despite many families seeing her as cute, she was never adopted for fear her energy would be too much. By the time she was a teen, she had started dreaming of adventure, traveling around Romalia when she shouldn't, and always returning home and lying that she was with her friends. Eventually, she grew older and older and started working for the orphanage by the time she was a teenager. Nona always knew she would adventure, but just didn't know when, and nobody would ever take her out of the city.

Nona was given the name Velia, or Veil/Concealed by others in the city that met her as her past to even the other Gaians was often unknown as she would lie and lie about who she was, or where she came from so much that people just stopped asking, and began using that name. It stuck, and Nona started going by the name Velia well before she had even become a housekeeper for her home; little did she know that this was all she needed for her name to officially change. Those who knew her as Nona before the name change, still call her by her true name but on her 18th birthday the adventures arrived; thousands of foreigners to even their own world with near-mythical powers. For reasons unknown, this mysterious ring appeared in her pockets just as the adventures showed up for the first time, and upon putting the ring on a large 'status' window appeared over her hand, ending the life of Nona the housekeeper, and beginning the adventures of Velia the ranger. Perhaps she could sneak into the ranks of these new adventurers? All she needed to do was pretend to not know anything about the world of Gaia and just fake it until she made it, right?

In the original Gaia Reborn, Nona Velia Feles was originally intended to be both a quest giver and a reward to the most vigilant of players. She was going to be a character that gave new players a reason to discover other regions of the map as she was your typical escort NPC, but in development quickly became a repeat NPC as she quickly became a sort of non-player companion, giving more and more quests all the way up to when players were extreme veterans. After completing the final quest in the chain, she would become a permanent 'item' to be added to any player's own household instance, where she would offer the player infinite amounts of free, low-level food items that were only available during that instance. However, with the apocalypse, none of these quests exist and her personality has been stuck as the adventurous form that was starting her wanderlust rather than the housemate Velia that the developers knew her as.

Velia's favorite food is fish and she has a penchant for catnip. It makes her feel happy.
Her favorite color is orange, but red and pink come in very close seconds. Warm colors are the best.
She absolutely hates swimming, but can also be found placing her head under running water for reasons.
Her true dreams are to explore the land and settle down with a strong warrior.
The above is most likely due to her original design as a player companion.
Her appearance is similar to other NPCs that shared her same role for other regions of Gaia Reborn
Her name of 'Nona' means Ninth; this correlates to her being the 'ninth' NPC that was designed this way.
For in-game lore reasons her name was set this way as she was the ninth orphan in her orphanage.
Velia is left-handed but often pretends to be right-handed as she believes using her left-hand pre-disposes people to think she is a liar.
The easiest way to win over Velia's affection for a day is to give her a bitter drink. There's just something about that flavor.

Ranger’s Persistence:
When their first shot doesn’t slay their mark, the Ranger’s determination to let the next shot finish it grows. Every single-target skill applies 1 stack of Persistence to a target, stacking up to a maximum of 6 stacks. Every stack increases the damage the Ranger’s skills output by a very minor amount, up to below-average at 6 stacks. Using a single-target skill on an enemy without Persistence removes all stacks applied by the Ranger on the previous target to apply 1 stack to the new target (any stacks of Persistence applied by other Rangers remain on the old target).

Fast Charge:
The Ranger is unmatched when it comes to mastery of ranged weapons. When using a basic attack with a ranged weapon, the speed at which they are able to charge their attack is increased. The power of the basic attack is increased by 50% for every second instead of 20% for every second charged, and the charge caps out after 3 seconds, giving a 150% increase in power. Charging the attack for 4 seconds or more will give a low Accuracy Up as well.

Crippling Arrows:
Ranged skill. Not every foe is easy to take down, so the Ranger utilizes two potent toxins to help them with that. Upon use, the next two basic attacks will be coated in a yellow-colored and purple-colored poison respectively. The first will inflict a weak 30s Paralyze, and the second an average 30s Poison. If these arrows miss, their effect is wasted.
1s animation time, 1 min cooldown. Below-average mana cost.

Triage:
Can only be used out of combat.
A skill that will have to make do after a particularly bad situation. Triage can be used on an ally to restore their health, up to 30% of their maximum health. This restores 1.5% maximum health every 2s of animation time, and when the target reaches 30% maximum health the skill and animation time stop.
40s animation time, 1 min cooldown. Low mana cost.

Animal Instincts:
While their appearance is primarily humanoid, the Faunri benefit from improved perception, their eyesight and hearing amplified by their animal eyes and ears. The senses of a Faunri are more powerful than those of the other races, granting them improved eyesight, hearing, and sense of smell. Faunri do not receive any further bonuses from the animal they are; such as gills, wings, cold resistance, and so on

Drug Mastery:
A lifetime of quaffing tonics, sipping potions and handling venoms has steeled the Pharmacist’s veins. Passively, they are healed by an extra 15% from any forms of non-magical healing. Debuffs inflicted on them from any form of poison or venom are reduced by 5s, but not below 5s.

Undying Servitude:
The bond between a Housekeeper and their master is one of the strongest bonds imaginable. The Housekeeper can designate one person as their master. Upon activating this skill, the person designated as the Housekeeper’s master receives a popup window to request their consent for this skill’s use. As long as the Housekeeper is within 10 meters of to their master, they are granted a very minor Attack, Magic Attack, Defense, Magic Defense and Movement Up. The Housekeeper can only serve one master at a time, and after choosing one there is an extremely long cooldown before they can choose another.
Instant, 1 week cooldown. No mana cost.
